RF DAS Field Technician – DAS #112102 (CONTRACT)

InteliOPT is looking for experienced DAS Field Technician to work on installing and commissioning wireless BTS equipment, eFemto, active and passive DAS and troubleshooting hardware and software that supports operation of a wireless network (LTE,UMTS/CDMA). Accomplished in the use of personal computers. Comfortable in the field and in self-directed environment. Coordinate &/or conduct field work, including installation and commissioning support, troubleshooting, and optimization of fixing / wireless network equipment.

Installing DAS (Distributed Antenna System) equipment. To include but not limited to the installation of Outdoor and Indoor antennas, coaxial cable, fiber optic cable, CAT 5 cable, DC Power Cable. Terminating coaxial cable: JMA, Andrews, etc. Fusion Splicing and Fiber OTDR Testing. Installation of DAS Headend to include DC Power Plant, Alarms, CPS and etc. Expert at completing Sweep, PIM, and Fiber testing

Utilize state of the art electronic test equipment, measuring devices, meters and hand tools in analyzing, adjusting, installing, wiring, repairing, maintaining and testing wireless, transmission, and associated equipment.

Assist in the commissioning and optimization process as equipment is deployed. Help test and troubleshoot fixed /wireless network systems issues. Work with NOC/Tier 3 and equipment suppliers to resolve product defects. Lead the effort to measure, identify, and resolve the source of equipment issues / troubleshoot and resolve microwave links performance.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

• 3-5 years of proven experience in wireless field engineering.

• Experience with RF testing equipment such as network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, and Base Station Emulators

• Demonstrated ability to take initiative and responsibility in a team environment

• Must be willing to travel up to 70% (state of NC and SC)
